Garden District location
Suit Yourself (story)
When you are at the first location (Garden District), make a couple of steps to get the quest in which you need to find a stone and create the Torn Suit. It requires the Proper Suit and one stone to craft it. You are already wearing the suit; the stone can be found near the hatch leading to the bunker (the place you just came from).
When you find the stone, open the inventory and go to the craft or press the B button. Create the Torn Suit on the tab with the image of a hanger by pointing the cursor at it and holding the left mouse button. It will be automatically equipped instead of the previous one.
Outside the Garden District, you can find a small square with an injured lying man named George Villiers.
Speak to him, he'll ask for help. First of all, you need to give him a Healing Balm and a Bandage.
All of this can be made from the ingredients found nearby. The most difficult part is to find a bottle of Scotch (peep in different houses in the district, usually bottles stand on cupboards). If you can’t find rags, look for them in trash bins and red mailboxes.
Then the man asks you for an antiseptic, which requires clean water for creation.
Start with finding an empty flask and fill it with water from a tap in the nearest place (one of them is located near a hatch leading to the first shelter). Give the antiseptic to the man and he will show you a chest where you can take the reward. Do that.
Note: There are several chests in the place with the injured man. All of them are mined, except the one you'll find at the end of the quest. You can skip the quest and try to open the right chest, but there's a good chance to make a mistake and get serious damage (probably with bleeding).
Outside the city, in the Garden District, you can find a treehouse where a trader lives.
In addition to common barter, he can give you the main quest. Besides, he will hand you the Jimmy Bar for free.
Complete the quest Get the Dolly, which is described below, go back to the trader and give him a puppet. Then the man will ask you to find or make a First Aid Kit for him.
After you do this, go to a mystery house in Lud’s Holm (next island). You'll get there for a jar of honey.
Reach the house and eat a hallucinogenic mushroom in front of gates at night. Once you get inside the house, the quest Mysterious House will start (learn more about Lud’s Holm locations in the description of side quests). In this quest, all you need is to find the right cloth. It can be found in the next room, in the kitchen. Take this cloth, which lies in the corner, and bring it to the trader from the treehouse. Talk to him about everything and then craft the Blending Suit.
Show the suit to the trader and the quest will be completed. At the same time, he'll give your suit back and provide you with a shovel.
Get the Dolly
This quest activates simultaneously with the previous one (Treehouse). After the conversation with the trader from the treehouse, you must return Peachy. When you come to the indicated place, you learn’ll that Peachy is a puppet which was stolen by unknown people living in this house. You can get inside through a door (using a picklock) or through a hole from behind of the house, removing boards manually. Go upstairs, deal with people or just ignore them. You should run and jump to a distant part of a floor where the puppet is.
After you take it, leave the house rapidly because alert will be activated.
It's the end of the quest but the mission Treehouse will continue.
Mine Mine All Mine
Outside the city, in the Garden District, you can find an enclosed territory on a hill which is protected by people in blue uniform and helmets.
To get inside, you should find the only open door (all other doors are closed). There are holes in fences as well, but there are trip-wire mines on them so be careful. After you get in, you'll get a new task – to rob 3 boxes.
All chests will be marked and each of them stands in three detached buildings. You can act secretly or kill everyone. It's easy to do if you play on the easy difficulty level. You must use picklocks to open all chests – one per each of them. The mission will be complete when you take your loot.
Everybody Must Get Stoned
Outside the city, in the Garden District, you can find a fortified hill with a guy on it who throws rocks.
If you come closer, the quest will start, but everything you must do is to sneak up to the man who'll immediately stop throwing rocks and run away. Use a tree and other objects as cover, moving from side to side. At the end, open a chest using a picklock, look into it, and take the useful loot.
We had this mission activated after finding Sally's blue toy car on one of the stone fences of a flowerbed in the first city (Garden District).
You should wait till the night and use a Histoplasma Mushroom in the same place where you've found the toy. You must have at least 3-4 mushrooms because you should chase a ghost under the influence of hallucinogens. When an effect runs out, use a new mushroom until the ghost brings you to a grave. Speak to him, dig a grave and take a book that improves a certain skill.
By the way, it's better to start the mission at 3 a.m. (not later). If you can't reach the necessary place in time, the ghost disappears, so you must wait until the next night and start again. In this case, all mushrooms will be spent for nothing.
Outside the city of the first area (Garden District), you can find a contaminated pond (covered with green fog). Come to this pond and talk to Thomas.
Don't be afraid, the green fog isn't a toxic gas here. Give Thomas a pill of Neximide which you should have in any case. These pills are used for the poisoning treatment. Then you should clean the pond. Pick up all scattered garbage (syringes, used bandages, empty bottles).
When you pick up the last item, the goal will be updated. Talk to Thomas once again to complete the quest. As a reward, he'll show you the location of a buried chest with useful items. Among other things, you can find a gas mask there.
Similar to most previous missions, you'll find this quest outside the town in the Garden District. There will be an open fortress with crushed walls and a lifting mechanism with a tray, boxes and a chest inside. Come inside and turn a lever to close the gates behind you and drop the tray. Three enemies will appear. Defeat them, then force the chest and take a reward for the quest.
P.S. Turn the lever again to lift the tray and open the gates, allowing you to leave the building.
If You give a Pig a Pancake
Outside the first city in the Garden District, there is a tall tree on a hill where three people created a shelter (with a vegetable garden).
Walk up and see that one of them is unwell (he is vomiting). Give him a tablet of Neximide, and they'll allow you to take one item as a reward (not only bread in the chest).
Then talk to a woman, who asks you to bring her diary back. Go to the marker and find three trees with toilets. The diary lies on one of them.
Note: We've searched all three toilets and found a pipe valve on one of them which is necessary for next main missions.
Give the diary back to the woman and take one item as a reward. Talk to the third man (another man digging in the garden). He'll ask to find his notes. Walk down the hill, go around it to find a boarded-up hollow. Remove these boards and find the desired notes. You can also find a shovel here. Give notes back to the man and take another item as a reward. The quest will be completed.
You can start this mission after finding a huge tree with a hive and bees in the Garden District (outside the town). Go there and the quest will activate. You can try to take honey quickly and run away from the bees, but we didn't manage to do that (every time when bees sting the progress bar clears). The best way is to make a Padded Suit, outfit it, and gather honey freely.
Note: This honey is necessary to cross one of the bridges leading outside this island.
Cult of Jack
You can start the quest in the second city on the first island. You should find a fenced territory which is located on one of the crossroads. Come and see a mountain with a disabled TV. There are three quests. We didn't manage to follow fake Jack because he got up and sat down immediately. That's why we had to make bold moves but not without ruses. First of all, you should get a Power Cell. You must visit another district because you can't do it in the Garden District.
Insert this cell into the back of TV in the middle of the location. Everyone comes running to watch it. Now you should search three buildings and force three chests. The first chest stands to the left of the place where Jack sits. Two other chests are located on second floors of the remaining two buildings. You can reach one of them if you come upstairs, but to reach another one, you have to jump using a cupboard.
The marker will not disappear when you examine one chest. Don't worry: just examine all three chests and the mission will be completed.

You can start this quest in the Garden District but in the second city which is closer to a bridge, not in the first one. On city streets, you'll see an arch with the inscription Crazy Legs. You must overtake a fast-going man, but it's hard to do so. There are several options:
- Chase him as fast as possible and pummel him.
- Slow down his movement by throwing rocks or bricks.
- The best way – the man runs around the circle and returns to the starting point. Accordingly, cut through the ruins of any building and punch him while he understands nothing. When you approach him, he will turn around but not immediately. That's why you should run out on the road and move towards him.
When you stop him, you'll learn a secret of a recipe which allows to run for a long time despite stamina.
Bring Out Your Dead
On the territory of the second city in the Garden District, you'll find a building with a safe and a corpse of a woman near it. Search it, take notes and money from the safe. That's all.
On the territory of the second city in the Garden District, you can find a mysterious chest with pentagrams sited around and indicating signs with different inscriptions.
You can read a note lying nearby. To open the chest, you’ll need a picklock. Inside the chest, there could be something useful or a toxic cloud as well as nothing. For example, we had a toxic cloud for the first time. After that, the objective updated, and we had to wait one or two days. We recommend putting a gas mask on before you open the chest. The quest will be completed when you examine the box again.
The Toll (story)
One of the bridges that you can use to leave the Garden District is occupied by a man who demands a bottle of honey. You had to get honey during the Bees quest, so put it into the pipe and go to another island. You shouldn't give honey if you want to come back, but if you want to leave the Garden District again, you should pay.
You need a Power Cell (charged) and constable's key card to cross this bridge. Read the description of previous missions to learn more about where and how to get them.
Lud’s Holm location
It’s a Terrible Life
Just over the bridge near one of the houses, you'll hear woman's moaning. Force the door using a picklock or move away the boards in the front or back entrance and get into the house. Go upstairs and talk to George Bailie – the husband of the dying woman.
Craft a Proper Suit and give it to George. Then you should give him 2 pills of Sunshine. You can craft it on your own (on the last tab, look for the image of ''bottle’’).
After you do this, you should hold Mary in your arms and bring her to the bridge leading to Maidenholm. It's easier to do at night. After this, you should leave the city immediately. If people discover you with Mary on your hands, they will attack you. After you've reached the bridge, come to the entrance and meet George. Put Mary down and watch a cut-scene. The mission is complete.
You need to find a house in the big city on this island. There is an explosives warning sign over the entrance.
Climb up jumping on ledges. Explosives will go off once. Find and take three bags of sugar from a table. The quest is complete!
I Yam What I Yam
Find a tall hill on the island outside the city. You should visit it at night.
Walk up the hill, eat a hallucinogenic mushroom (Histoplasma) and watch sectarian rituals. Watch them until they ask you to play Bongos. Use trash cans, do it once again after a proponent says the main words of the service (I Yam What I Yam).
After that, everyone will be in a trance, so you can examine a book and take a recipe. Then, interact with a soaring rock to complete the quest by choosing one of the three books:
- Dog – reduces the probability of being infected by 20%.
- Horse – increases the maximum health level by 10%.
- Wolf – increases the stamina regeneration rate by 20%.
The Apple Tree
Find a fenced apple tree on the hill. You must deal with constables and force the gates to get inside. Now the quest is complete, and in one of the boxes you can find a constable's map.
Where's the Power?
Find a small elevation where several people are beating poor Ralph. Help the guy to defeat outlaws, then give him a Neximide pill. To thank you, he will throw up energy in the empty cell, so you'll have a charged one. You can use it to turn on TV or to draw people's attention away on the mission Cult of Jack.
Find a house decorated with mushrooms in one of the settlements on this island. People throw down items from the second floor. You can burst into the house with guns and kill everyone or you can act covertly, sneaking up to enemies from the back and stunning them. Anyway, you need to go upstairs to find a recipe. Take it off the wall, then run away from the house or neutralize drug addicts who attack you.
This quest starts simultaneously with the mission called Treehouse. Come inside, avoid enemies, go upstairs on the second floor and find the main cultist who worships a strange creature pictured on the wall. Defeat him and leave the house by any means. Mission is complete.
St. George’s Holm
Find a building with one or two open windows on the territory of the island. Get inside. Everything is covered with purple gas here. Open windows and doors, then give coffee to a guy who lies on the floor.
You can visit the main character's office to find coffee or you can try to find a coffee maker in another city. Then you must repair 3 broken parts of the machine.
Each of them requires three repair kits that you can craft.
At the same time, you should act quickly and repair components one by one. Otherwise, they will break down one after another. Also, you can't repair components that are operated by a man. On the other hand, even if these components break down again, you won’t have to spend 3 repair kits on them.
Reward: now you can fill here empty power cells.
Looks Like Rain
Talk to Mrs. Parkhurst who is covered with a strange purple slush (look for her on the city streets).
You should distract the woman with a bunch of flowers. In the Garden District, there are glowing flowers which are visible at night. Gather them and make a bouquet.
Then you should find a Shredded Raincoat and give it to the woman.
At the end of the ‘’path’’, you will need a Sewing Kit. As a result, the quest will be completed, and you'll get a Boiler Suit and the recipe for its production.
A bobby will stand nearby a broken kennel.
Talk to him and learn that he allows you to approach the broken kennel only in the Boiler Suit. Make it, put it on, talk again. Examine the broken kennel to complete the quest.
Superb Meat Boy
There are three restless women in the city.
Each of them can give you this quest, but you should also talk to two other women and visit the neighboring island which is called Maidenholm.
Follow the marker and deal with bandits, then talk to Ed who is in the uniform of a postman.
That's how you can continue this quest and take the mission Plough Boy’s Lunch at the same time. Pick up sacks near Ed and bring them to three restless women on the previous island.
After that, follow the marker and talk to a butcher in his shop to complete the mission. At the same time, you'll take another quest – Possibly Heinous Package.
Possibly Heinous Package
You'll take this quest after you have talked to the butcher at the end of the Superb Meat Boy quest. Go to the specified place and give a bottle of Scotch to constables – one bottle for each of them. It's better done at night. Then, search a cart with flowers, take a bag and bring it to the butcher's shop. Put the bag in a cart which stands behind the shop, then report to the butcher at the end of the quest. The mission The Slaughterer’s Apprentice will start automatically.
The Slaughterer’s Apprentice
You'll take this mission during the conversation with the butcher at the end of the quest Possibly Heinous Package. You should walk in the open door on the side of the butcher, then reject or accept his proposal. In the first case, the quest will be failed, in the second – you'll find yourself in a locked house with different devices.
First of all, wait for the end of the butcher's monologue, then leave the room. Go left in a freezer to take a bag with a corpse. Go downstairs and put the corpse on the floor near a machine with a revolving valve, then attach the corpse to the upper part of the machine and switch in on.
Move the corpse to another machine on the same floor, put it down and try to start the machine. The lower part will open and you'll get a broken component. You can find the same component in the house (in the utility room with a wooden hatch on the first floor). Install the component in the machine, test it, hang up the corpse, and start the machine.
Go upstairs and test the third machine which is located near the steps that lead downstairs (it looks like a huge tank).
After that, move to the opposite room to start the last machine – the biggest one of them all. Wait while the butcher finishes his speech, then hook the corpse to a pipe on the left. When the butcher says to start packing, try to make any four forms (four colored buttons on the device on the right).
Then, take a packed box, go upstairs and look to the left of it to see an order device. There are four colored cells above it which indicate a necessary order. If you've made wrong ‘’cakes'’, burn them using the red button. After this, remember the order, make it, and load it into a car using a green button.
Make 3-4 orders in the same way until you see information about the search for exit. Examine notes lying near the machine. Walk downstairs where the other two machines are located and find the butcher's diary on a table. That's how you'll learn how to sabotage the machine.
When the main character ends his monologue, go upstairs and apply the broken component (that you've replaced before) to the pipe where the corpse is fastened. The machine will be broken, the butcher will run into the room. Go downstairs and find a hatch in the utility room which you can use to descend to a basement. Find a metal cabinet with items, interact with it, press the E button and take your inventory.
The butcher will appear. Follow him and avoid him in a way that you can to go upstairs using the same stairs. Here, you'll meet a constable in the red uniform. Tell him everything you know and complete the quest. The butcher is put behind the bars.
Plough Boy’s Lunch
You'll take this mission during the conversation with Ed on the mission Superb Meat Boy. You should pick up Ed and bring him to a pub (a trader on this island). You should do it during daylight hours when the pub is open.
The Church of Simon Says
Go to the church on this island and be sure to take a pill of joy along the way as it allows to pass through energy beams. Read a poster on doors, then knock at them. You'll learn that you must bring some Nick Lightbearer to enter the church. Head for the next island, the bridge will be free for sure. Find the house of the necessary man to start the side quest called Sympathy for the Lightbearer.
After this quest, you'll get Nick's suit. Put it on and knock at the church. You'll walk in and become a host of the game called Simon says. So, you have several players. Press the button ‘'Simon Says'’ and choose an action. Do it 3 times, then choose an action without the button ‘'Simon Says’’. Players who perform an action will be knocked out of the game. Repeat this until all players will be stunned.
Try to escape from the church but it won't work. You need to get to the top floor, go to the next room and get on the attic using a ladder. Here, you should cut off electricity, walk down and take the game medal from the stand in the main hall. Leave the church to complete the quest.
Moon Juice Leech
Draw constable's attention away (e.g. give them Scotch) and search the body. The quest will be completed.
Go inside the house through a back door, go upstairs, and talk to an old man in a wheelchair.
Run to the mentioned house, force the door, and examine Edward's corpse. Take the diary which lies nearby, return to the colonel and show it to him. Take items from a chest and find a weapon among them.
Go to Edward's house, place this weapon on the stand over the fireplace. A ladder will descend. You can use it to reach a cache with a chest and a reward inside.
On the side street, you'll find a broken car.
Strike the low part of a panel with a shock cudgel to open it.
You need to use charge attack (press and hold LMB). The panel will open after two strokes so you can extract an activator using an extractor (you receive it in the quest The Faraday Cage).
The House of the Inventor (story)
On this island, you should find a house with a narrow courtyard and a garden. You’ll find a pipe in front of the doors and a man in a sailor uniform.
Talk to him and find out that he wants to repair the pipe but it requires a valve. We showed its location in the description of the quest called If You Give a Pig a Pancake. If you didn't find it, go to local traders (or to traders on another island) and look at their goods. One of them must have a valve!
Give the valve to the man to get the Faraday's house key. Enter the house and the mission will be completed, but the mission The Faraday Cage will start automatically.
The Faraday Cage (IMPORTANT STORY QUEST)
Walk through the house disarming traps. There are 3 traps and your device will be broken after them for sure. There are metal rollers upstairs. Knock and talk to Mrs. Faraday.
She'll tell you what you must do to leave the island. Take a bucket and special collector from the pipe on the right, then leave the house. When you walk down from the upper floor, you’ll find a chest on the shelf over the stairs. It contains a gas mask.
Faraday wants you to bring a bucket of Motilene – a purple liquid to fill power cells. A machine which can fill cells is not suitable for this so you must look for puddles. They are marked on the map with ‘'lightning'’ symbols.
Having gathered Motilene in the bucket, bring it to Mrs. Faraday. Put the bucket into the pipe on the right and talk to Faraday through the window.
Now, you should find five advanced spare parts. Two markers will point to the next island. Go there, look for them and find cars. You should extract spare parts using a device to interact with a bonnet. It's better to do it at night.
The third marker will point to a building on the Maidenholm island. If you reach it, the mission Blood in the Streets will be activated. At the end of this mission, you'll receive the 3rd part and read the description below.
Look for two remaining parts on Inis Hold island. There will be cars parked on the street. Bring five parts, put them in the pipe and talk to Faraday. She'll tell you that you should come the next day. Leave the building and you'll hear a strange sound. Go back and find out that Faraday left the islands using teleportation. Search the laboratory and take off the note attached to a machine. That's how you find out a code which allows to reach the last island.
Blood in the Streets
First of all, you need to insert a charged power cell into the device on the right. Take a pill of joy and go through the gates. There will be two energy towers and one constable. If you have a keycard, use it on the device on the left. If you haven't, you should hack the device or look for a key card.
Deactivate a panel inside of it using any device, then activate an alarm using the red button on the opposite side (square button behind glass, not the round red one).
Run to the next location through the passageway which is opened now. Give Scotch to two constables and then take a part out of a painted car. Leave this place across the tops (there is a hole in a fence on the first location) to complete the quest.
The island is located from one side of Maidenholm.
Sympathy for the Lightbearer
This quest will start automatically after you go to the next island on the mission called The Church of Simon Says. Approach the house and talk to a constable. You can enter Nick's house via next estate. Go to a backyard and come in through a door in the daytime. Walk up to the top floor, force a door to a bathroom and get to the top scaffolding. Go along the house and move to the scaffolding near Nick's house using wooden planks. Here, you should jump off to a lower level, walk around the building and get inside through a window.
There is a coded lock – hack it or just wait until you find Nick's key card. Walk down. You must pass through a joy detector. Hack an electronic trap on the door and disarm a dashboard in the room controlling other traps. Get down to the basement and talk to Nick.
Go to a bathroom and watch how the story ends. Take a keycard and a key, go upstairs and open that door. Take Nick's wig and mask off a dummy, open the cupboard on the left and take his suit. Leave the house to complete the mission.
Mount Badon Bridge (story)
This is one of the bridges which can lead to the last island. Come inside and see a destroyed energy tower. It requires a password to turn it off and clear the way. You've received the password on the mission The Faraday Cage in the note from Mrs. Faraday.
Besides, you must input the password in two different rooms. When running from one room to another, use a Rubber Cat Suit, so the electrical tower couldn't stop you.
