Resident Evil 2 Remake
How to Open Caches and Get Treasure Hunter Trophy in Resident Evil 2 Remake
How to unlock the Treasure Hunter achievement and find caches in the police station.
Playing for Claire or Leon in scenarios A and B, you may find two caches with weapon upgrades and ammo for Flamethrower/Spark Shot. To get these caches, you need to find a special roll film named Hiding Place. It is located inside the break room on the upper level of the sewers.
You will get there after you are tasked to find the missing chess pieces. First, find the king and queen, or at least go into their direction. Near the stairs leading to the lower channel, there’s a desk with a board on which you’ll find the Sewers key. Take it and go to the pool room. Go through the door with an EXIT sign. Descend one tier and use the remote control that is hanging on the wall to the right. Jump into the channel and go straight forward until you find a door from the right side. Open it with the T-shaped lever, go upstairs and use the elevator to get into the hall with the rook (it is located in the console on the left).
A bit further from the rook (and to the right), there’s a door to the break room. Go there and find a roll film on the table. Take it and move the cabinet with the yellow tape to find a short way back to the police station. Return to the police station, go to the photo lab and develop the film, getting the photos of two caches.
You will find the first one in the S.T.A.R.S. office. When you enter there, turn into a small chief’s office on the left and interact with the table. If you have developed and examined the photos, you’ll see an interaction point. Inside, you’ll find a wooden box. Examine it in the inventory to get the weapon upgrade.
The second cache is located in the conference call of the east side. Find a table with a tape recorder and find the interaction point to get the cache.
If you have found both caches, you’ll unlock the Treasure Hunter trophy in addition to the reward in the form of in-game items.
