Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Heavy Hitter
Thanks to Miles, the protagonist learned that Rhino is attacking Oscorp’s centers, while Yuri found the next target of the villain – the department in the west of Harlem.
Having arrived at the site, Spider-Man discovers a cargo port with broken doors and Rhino who attacks Sable agents.
Boss: Rhino and Scorpion
Obviously, Rhino is too big to care about your attacks, gadgets etc. In this regard, the conventional tactics of boss battles is only partially suitable in this case – you still need to stun the opponent but not on your own.
The cargo port is full of interactive containers hanging from the cranes with hooks and fragments of concrete pipes, which can be brought down at the boss if you show proper skills. At the standard level of difficulty, the game will politely slow down the time at the right moment. At higher levels, you will have to rely solely on your reflexes.
Use the destructible environment only during one of the two main attacks of the Rhino – the thug puts one hand on the ground and then rushes to the main hero.
When the boss approaches the object that you need (look for the time to slow down or just react based on your view of the situation), clamp L1 and R1 to make a surprise for the armored bully.
If you see that there is no suitable interactive object in the nearby, or that your trap did not work out while the boss is approaching fast, just dodge (‘’circle’) or fly aside (jump + R2). There’s plenty of space for this in the port: it’s better to increase the time of the battle than get an extra hit at your face.
In general, it’s better to stay at a middle distance from the opponent during the battle. There is no use in getting close to Rhino before you stun him as he will start jostling and stomping with his feet, which can adversely affect Spider-Man’s health. If you stay too far from Rhino, the boss may decide to throw a piece of asphalt at you.
When Rhino is stunned, a ‘’triangle’’ will appear above him – press this button to use a web attack, and then hit him hard. You’ll need to hit the boss at least three times to get into the next phase of the battle.
The enemy won’t be ‘’off’’ for too long so if you hesitate you’ll be late with your full combo – Spider-Man ends it with a spectacular finishing move. You are not obliged to ‘’finish’’ Rhino in three approaches, but it will later be more difficult to find suitable objects to immobilize the boss.
Scorpion will come to help Rhino when the latter gets enough damage. The recent nightmare was a great training session for Spider-Man: in the real world, the villain will behave just like in the fantasy one – he will spit poison from afar and sometimes jump on the protagonist. The ‘’medicine’’ from both methods is a timely dodge.
For a full knockout, both bosses need to be finished off three times. However, we will start with Scorpion as he is faster, and it is easier to take him away from his partner. In addition, it is hard to simultaneously follow Scorpion, Rhino, and search for a suitable interactive object.
To get more room for maneuver, use the slowness of Rhino against himself. Use the web to fly to the other end of the arena – when one boss will run past obstacles to get to you, the second one will jump through several containers closer to Spider-Man, and you’ll be able to deal with him separately.
To immobilize Scorpion, we strongly recommend using an impact/electric web or web bomb – these gadgets allow you to instantly achieve the desired result, which is extremely useful in a battle with two opponents.
The same principle – the faster, the better – is applied when beating your opponents. If you can use focus, use it. During this animation, your character is invincible, so nobody can interrupt your attack.
Here’s an interesting fact: villains are actually capable of hitting each other. For example, the spit of Scorpion can damage Rhino. Also, you can put Rhino in a situation when he will have to ram his partner to get to the hero. Obviously, your opponents are bad at setting their priorities.
Once you have dealt with the Scorpion, switch to Rhino. In the absence of his friend, the battle with the big thug won’t be any different from the first phase of the battle (although there will be fewer interactive objects in the arena). For your efforts and for packaging two villains in one container, you’ll get 5000 experience points.
