Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Dual Purpose
A whole week has passed since the demons attacked the town hall, but the investigation regarding Martin Li’s gang – or his alter ego – has not progressed at all. In addition, Yuri Watanabe, the chief of local police, cannot just believe Spider-Man and arrest the director of F.E.A.S.T.
Fortunately, Mary Jane has a clue – last year, Martin Li bought shares of a recycling center. So, even if the leader of demons does not hide in this institution, he can possibly store some important information there. With this mission – learn something useful – Spider-Man comes to the above-mentioned center.
The courtyard of this enterprise is full of demons. As usual, you can either deal with them stealthily or engage in an open fight. We recommend choosing the stealth option – there’s a brute among bandits, and it’s generally a good idea to avoid excessive fighting to preserve health.
In the first half of the yard (the one closest to the gate), three bandits are waiting for you: one is walking in front of the entrance, two others are standing near a truck. Start by knocking out the first bandit and then proceed to the duo.
You cannot eliminate them stealthily when they are standing close to each other, so you need a trick. Use the ejector to shoot at the planks on the right of the car – one thug will go to check what happened while the other one will become vulnerable to your attack. After this, you’ll only need to nail the curious thug to the wall.
By the time you deal with the first trio, a patrol may come to check whether their comrades are feeling well. This patrol can consist of one or two demons. Use the same method: distract one thug with a web shot, deal with the remaining thug and then proceed to the curious one. Thus, the entrance to the building will be guarded by two/three guards instead of four.
The above-mentioned brute will be among the bandits at the site. However, he can be knocked out by one stealth web shot or a knockout from above. So, if you do not plan to fight with the brute, we recommend you lure him with web shots to an area that is hidden from eyes of other demons.
Deal with the remaining enemies using garbage stacks (there are two in the nearby). Don’t forget to first lure the bandits into the combat zone. Another option is to use the already known tactic ‘’distract – attack’’. When all enemies are out of the game, it’s time to look for the entrance to the building – the front door is locked.
To open it, you need to find four switchboards and reboot them using the electric web:
- Under the conveyor belt to the left from the entrance (first, you’ll need to rip off the cover).
- On a pole next to the outside wall of the courtyard.
- Behind the boxes near the wall – they can be broken manually, or you can use a garbage can in the nearby.
- Next to the truck which was inspected by demons.
Having rebooted all the switchboards around, you’ll be able to get inside the recycling center. Once inside, open the grate under the ceiling (hold L1 and R1) to get into the next room. From there, move to the ventilation that leads to the main office.
Inspect all possible interactive objects in the room – you’ll learn a lot about the plans and weapons of the demons. The main exhibit at this “exhibition” is the operation map on the wall. According to it, the next target of Li’s gang is the election headquarters of Norman Osborn.
Apparently, the mayor seriously annoyed the director of F.E.A.S.T. in the past as the demon leader uses all his forces for these attacks. This time, the demons are going to act from the office of the already familiar company “Consolidation Shipping”, so you must go there.
Upon arrival, you can create a new gadget – a trip mine. It allows you to instantly immobilize inattentive enemies that are within the scope of this device. Use the device on the nearest demon – the game will show you where to put the mine.
In the outer yard of Consolidated Shipping (we’ll get to the inner one a little later), you’ll see three bandits. Two men are hanging out near the gate, while the third one will go searching for a comrade who fell in a trap. You’ll be able to perform a stealth attack when he gets behind two trucks and disappears from the eyes of the two other bandits.
It is relatively easy to deal with the remaining two thugs: jump on the wall over the distant bandit and pack him into the web while the other demon is standing with this back to his companion. After this, you’ll be able to eliminate the second bandit.
Now we turn to the courtyard that is directly close to the firm’s building. It is guarded by nine bandits at once, but do not be scared – most of them are located along the perimeter and are easily neutralized one at a time. Start with two snipers – they hold position on the upper tiers, and no one will notice that they have disappeared.
Next, we proceed to a closed area with a mobile crane. You can use its hook to knock out two demons at once. Before doing this, knock out the thug that is walking on the iron bridge above, so that no one notices how you play with the construction equipment.
At this stage, four demons are left. One of them will almost certainly want to check up the noise caused by the crane. If this happens, the curious gangster could be neutralized far from his comrades. In the opposite case, you’ll have to lure the enemy manually.
If you have acted quietly enough, the remaining trio of demons will be located as follows: one stands with his back to the other two, and the couple looks at the truck from the side of the body. Place the trip mine behind their backs, sit on the lantern above the enemies and draw their attention with a shot from the ejector: nail the first one to the wall and wrap the second one in the web.
An interactive shelving next to the entrance of the building could be useful – lure a couple of enemies close to it (for this, you’ll have to actively use your ejectors) and then collapse the structure on them. Finish off the remaining thug. Once you are ready, take out the front door, holding L1 and R1, and go inside.
Once in the office, inspect the map on the wall to get access to demons’ warehouses – they are analogous to Fisk’s hideouts but with Li’s bandits as opponents. Next, inspect the tablet that lies on the wall. A check from the auto store is attached to the tablet – this clue will be investigated later, but for now just go outside.
A new and dangerous type of opponents will wait for Spider-Man in the street. They are of ordinary size but have energy whips in each hand. There’s no point in throwing such an enemy into the air – he’ll just dodge your uppercuts. Also, you should not leave the ground for too long as you’ll be quickly (and painfully) thrown back.
Whip holders are also immune to most ‘’spider’’ gadgets and melee attacks. Therefore, instead of spending precious charges and energy, use the surroundings against these enemies – accurate hits can stun a bandit for a short time.
The web is also effective in such a fight, especially its automatic attack at the face of the opponent with a perfect dodge (seriously, be sure to buy this skill). If nothing helps, know that to eliminate this enemy instantly with the help of focus, you need two full charges.
Now that you are armed with this knowledge, you can begin fighting. Start with throwing any object – while the whip holder is stunned, beat him or wrap in the web, and then throw him at the wall and nail him to it with ejectors. By the time you are victorious over him, a dozen of other demons with another whip holder will run into the yard.
Have you saved two focus charges? Well, you can instantly get rid of the most dangerous enemy in the group. If you haven’t accumulated two full focus charges, don’t panic. Avoid the whip and air combos, dodge, use the suit function and gadgets. When the number of ordinary enemies comes down, you’ll easily deal with the mini-boss.
At the end of the battle, you’ll learn that Norman Osborn has summoned a whole mercenary army of Sable International led by Silver Sable herself. The meeting between Spider-Man and Silver Sable won’t be good right from the start – the hero will quickly find himself in shackles.
Yuri Watanabe will arrive just in time to defuse the situation, but she will tell Spider-Man to go away without any explanations. For your efforts and humiliation, you’ll earn 3000 experience points.
