Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Keeping the Peace

In the fourth mission, players will be introduced to the basics of the open world and side activities
Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Keeping the Peace-1

Soon after Peter gets out of the lab, he (or, more precisely, Spider-man) will be contacted by Yuri Watanabe who will ask for a meeting on the roof of the police station in Chinatown. Having arrived at the place, the hero learns that all expensive Oscorp security towers went broke just an hour ago.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Keeping the Peace-2

Spider-Man’s task is to restore the work of the towers. This is done with the help of a simple mini-game resembling Batman: Arkham Asylum with its encryption sequencer. You need to select the wavelength by rotating the left and right sticks on the gamepad.

As soon as the first tower is working again, street crimes will be displayed on the relevant section of the map and on your interface. One of these crimes, a robbery, is committed a couple of blocks from the police station. Hurry up!

Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Keeping the Peace-3

Having arrived at the site, you can use a web attack from your observation post. Typically, such an attack results in instant neutralization of the enemy, but this particular villain is armed with a crowbar which blocks incoming attacks.

Later, you’ll be able to buy the ability to take weapons from opponents, but now you must either deal with such thugs from the back (attack + dodge), stun the enemies with thrown objects or use ejectors to immobilize them.

You’ll get one crime token for dealing with enemies – you can’t spend them now, but soon Spider-man will learn to use them to improve his gadgets, buy alternative costumes and create various modifications for them.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Keeping the Peace-4
Thanks to the Perfect Dodge skill , the timely dodge leaves ordinary enemies defenseless for a few seconds

As soon as the hero has dealt with the first pack of criminals, he’ll receive information about an armed robbery in the nearby. He will have to save a woman who is attacked by a whole pack of villains. In the context of this fight, the hero will learn about a new type of ordinary opponents – brutes.

You have already met one of them – Fisk – so you won’t learn anything completely new. Before beating the brute, you need to stun him with a thrown object or shoot him from the ejector. When you do not attack him, stay away to avoid being hit.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Keeping the Peace-5

At the end of the fight, the remaining criminal will take the above-mentioned woman as a hostage. To save her, you need to use the left stick to move the sight to the area that is indicated on the screen and press R1. Study this mechanics as it will be used in later chapters.

The next target is the second security tower in Chinatown. After you fix it, you will see another type of side activity in the city on the map – Peter’s scattered backpacks which contain items from his past.

In addition to nostalgic (or informational, depending on your knowledge of Spider-Man universe) value, backpacks also have practical value. You get a special token for each backpack (in total, you can collect 55 such tokens) and you’ll later be able to use these tokens to improve the character’s equipment.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Keeping the Peace-8

The last street crime before the end of the mission is a potential robbery of the jewelry store. There’ll be no new enemy types there so use the knowledge you have acquired before and try to get rid of shooters as soon as possible.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Keeping the Peace-9

Finally, go to the third broken tower in Chinatown. You’ll get 2500 experience points for fixing it, leading to a level-up of Spider-Man. Here, Peter will remember about the damage to his suit and will head to repair it while we will proceed to the next mission.
