This chapter starts exactly where the previous one ended: two heroes (the line-up depends on previous decisions) have descended into the engine room and face Olson who is under heavy influence of Manchurian Gold.
The chapter begins with an obligatory stealth section: the characters hide from the one-eyed fisherman who has a hammer in one hand and a distributor cover in the other hand. The player will have to accurately go through the next ‘’breathing’’ QTE section. In case of failure, the protagonists will hide from the enemy but lose the rebreather.
If you find the correct rhythm and go through the first series of heartbeats, you’ll have a choice: move now (option ‘’Disturbed’’) or wait (option ‘’Assertive’’). Escape guarantees the safety of the breathing apparatus provided that you can quickly respond to a one-time QTE.
At the same time, the waiting option will lead to another round of ‘’breathing’’ exercises. If the first sequence seemed long, the second one will last forever. If you fail this segment, the rebreather will be lost.
At this point, the chase will end but the heroes will face a new problem: Junior, who emerged out of nowhere, will point the gun at the couple and start explaining how the local ‘’fog’’ works. Be careful: one wrong phrase may lead to death of one of your characters.
To go through this chapter without losses, choose the following options: ‘’Curious’’, ‘’Worried’, ‘’Desperate’’ and ‘’Grab Pistol’’ (you have a rebreather)/ ‘’Distract’’ (no rebreather). If you have a breathing apparatus, Junior will calm down. In all other cases, he will shoot himself.
Depending on who stayed in the radio room, the chapter will either end at this point (if it’s Alex and Fliss/Julia) or the characters will try to chase Olson who hurries to cargo compartment number 3. Anyway, the final is near.
