Gearbox Reveals Detailed Borderlands 3 System Requirements
The newest looter-shooter won’t be very demanding
Official system requirements were published on Borderlands 3 website. It would be wise to check if your PC gaming rig is up to the task — however, you’ll be surprised by how little the game requires to run properly.
Here’s what you’ll need to play Borderlands 3 in 1080p resolution:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack).
- Processor: AMD FX-8350 or Intel i5-3570.
- Memory: 6GB RAM.
- Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 7970 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB.
- HDD – 75 GB.
If you’re aiming for 1440p gaming, be sure to upgrade your CPU, GPU, and memory:
- Processor – AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel i7-4770.
- Memory – 16GB RAM.
- Graphics card – AMD Radeon RX 590 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB.
One thing to notice is that the developers are partnering with AMD/Radeon on this game, so users of this brand’s software may expect a better optimization or driver updates.
Gearbox also revealed a wide range of options to tweak your gaming experience. You’ll be able to change DirectX, FPS Limit, Field of View, FidelityFX Sharpening, Draw Distance, Screen Space Reflections and much more.
The game is developed on Unreal Engine 4.
Borderlands 3 is out September 13 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The PC version will be available exclusively in Epic Games Store for the first 6 months after the release.
