19 Games to Play This August

Here’s what gamers should pay attention to in the last summer month: a slasher from Platinum Games, supernatural shooter from Remedy, interactive horror game from the creators of Until Dawn, and more

The gaming industry gradually awakens from summer hibernation – in August, many interesting projects for every taste will be released. Horror fans will be especially satisfied as they’ll have a chance to play Silver Chains, which reminds Amnesia and Outlast, a new game based on the movie The Blair Witch Project and an ambitious Dark Pictures – Man of Medan from the developers of Until Dawn.

The main release of August, Control, is intriguing, but there are some doubts. There’s a feeling that we’ll see a guest from a distant past rather than a modern game. Soon, we’ll learn whether Remedy can regain its former glory after the ambiguous Quantum Break.

If you miss survival games, three major titles are awaiting you – Remnant: From the Ashes, RAD and Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. A third-person action game, a top-down shooter, a project about the evolution of the first people – plenty of interesting titles to choose from.
