Classic Cinematic Platformer Flashback Coming to Mobile This July

New graphics filters, remastered audio and touchscreen control scheme included

The indie video game publisher SFL Interactive announced that remastered version of a cult-classic game Flashback will make its way to mobile platforms this July.

Watch the trailer below:

The mobile version is made in a partnership with the game original designer Paul Cuisset. There will be two control systems to choose from: the original controls and the one made specifically for touchscreens. It’s not clear if the game will support physical controllers.

This port also includes new graphics filters that should make the game look more stylish, remastered sounds and music, and a new rewind function that will help to progress past tough levels. In case you’ll still struggle to understand the game’s core mechanics, there is a new tutorial.

Flashback is a 2D platformer with many cinematics that was originally published back in the early ‘90s. The game got many awards including GOTYs and became a beloved title since then.

The iOS version of the game will be released on July 22. The Android version was originally scheduled for the same day but was released earlier. Both versions are a one-time-purchase that costs $4.99.
