4 Fashion Models Are Starring in The Witcher Netflix Series
New photos from the show’s set in Hungary surface online
The website Redanian Intelligence has published new details about the filming of The Witcher’s first season. We know now that at least four models, including Miss Hungary 2008 Ildiko Polgar, will appear in the series — though their roles are yet unknown.
The show’s crew were filming in Hungary’s Vajdahunyad Castle from March 27 to 29. You can check the photos of this place below:
It’s a very scenic location that's also popular amongst tourists, who couldn’t help but spy on what was happening in the castle. One person told Redanian Intelligence that they heard "child-like" screams that could be the models' high-pitched voices. People thought that someone is shooting a horror film.
The girls themselves posted a few pictures from the set that might give us more clues on what these scenes are:
There are a few hints to look at. The models wear bathrobes between the takes, which indicates that the girls starred in nude scenes. There is also a green screen behind Polgar's back so maybe there is some CGI involved. Additionally, Ildiko showed her and her colleague's hairstyles.
It's logical to assume that actor Henry Cavill, who is playing Geralt of Rivia, was also on set, but no one managed to get any evidence of that.
Netflix released a new photo of Geralt and his horse Roach from the show just the other day.
The Witcher Netflix series will be featured on SDCC 2019 which will take place on July 18 through 21. There, we will likely get the first trailer of the show and learn it's release date — which is rumored to be December 20.
