Social networks have been going crazy in the last few days — a mobile application FaceApp received a large update, which added an incredibly realistic aging photo filter. Hundreds of thousands of users, including celebrities, began to post aged versions of their selves
FaceApp’s popularity was already at its peak back at the beginning of 2017 — back then, the app could add a smile to the photo, change the gender of the person and also skillfully age or strongly rejuvenate their face. However, two years later, neural networks have made a huge leap, and FaceApp can now perform all these transformations with frightening detail and realism.
We decided to find out what favorite video game characters would look like in old age, and run their images through the FaceApp filters.
