Polish Fan-Made Witcher Movie Releases This November
This 80-minute piece of pure fan love will be available for free
Studio Bez Klapsa Productions and company SC Projects have released a big trailer for their upcoming movie Alzur’s Legacy (Pół Wieku Poezji Później) based on The Witcher book series — not on The Witcher 3 videogame.
You can watch the video below. It’s in Polish, so don’t forget to turn on the subtitles:
Alzur’s Legacy takes place 50 years after the events of the last Witcher book. The movie will tell a story about Triss Merigold, bard Dandelion, and the last Witcher, Lambert — yep, Geralt is not in this one. The trio will chase a rogue enchantress that stole the legendary Alzur’s almanac.
The movie will star an actor Zbigniew Zamachowski from the original Polish 2001 The Witcher adaptation. He will once again play Dandelion — his older version, to be precise.
Alzur’s Legacy is a completely fanmade non-profit project. The Polish crew first started shooting the movie four years ago. They originally wanted to release it on June 2018, but later decided to push the date back. That allowed them to extend the length from 55 to 80 minutes and add additional action-heavy scenes in Kaer Morhen.
Alzur’s Legacy will be available for free on YouTube on November 30.
As you probably know, there is another The Witcher adaptation coming soon — the one made by Netflix. We will see the first trailer on July 19 on SDCC 2019. According to rumors, the first season of the show will release on December 20. Keep in mind that Polish Witcher Fans are actually planning to troll torrent users and replace the Netflix adaptation with the old Polish Witcher TV Series.
