Tetris 99 Will Officially Get Physical Edition in the West

It will release this autumn and include DLC that lets you play offline

Nintendo has confirmed that the battle royale puzzle game Tetris 99 will soon hit the shelves outside Japan.

The physical edition will include the main online mode which is already available for free for everyone on the eShop, as well as the Big Block DLC package with two additional offline modes CPU Battle and Marathon. Another nice bonus is a code for a 12-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online which is required to play multiplayer.

Nintendo also mentioned that the Big Block DLC will be getting more modes for everyone who bought it on the eShop or with a physical copy.

Those new modes are:

  • Local Arena — a local multiplayer with up to eight nearby consoles.
  • 2P Share Battle — local two-player co-op on the same system using two parts of Joy-Con controller.

Tetris 99 Physical Edition will be available on September 20 this year. The price wasn’t specified.
