CD Projekt RED Will Open The Witcher Interest Club in Sapkowski's Hometown
Visitors will take a course on creating their own Witcher game
CD Projekt RED will open Center for Comic and Interactive Narration in the Polish city Łódź, the birthplace of the writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The center will engage in interactive training and offer a two-part course to its visitors: comic and computer games.
In the comic part, visitors will be introduced to the history of illustrations and comics. Students will listen to lectures on creating a comic book and take part in practical seminars that will introduce them to original works of Polish comic art, including the works of Grzegorz Rosiński, the author of the comic “Torgal”.
The computer games part of the course will introduce its participants to game development based on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Students will learn how to animate characters using Geralt's model, create locations and fill them with quests, and work with sounds in the game. In this zone, students will be able to play their projects using virtual reality and augmented reality technologies.
The center is expected to open in 2020-2021.
