Composer Steve Henifin, who made music for games such as Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, passed away on June 29, 2019, as his colleagues report. The tragic event was confirmed by the musician’s family in the post on his Facebook page. The cause of Henifin’s death was not mentioned.

Henifin first began making music for video games in the early ‘90s and is primarily remembered for his work for now-closed studio Silicon Knights.

In addition to the above-mentioned Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, his portfolio also includes soundtracks for Too Human and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.

He was also mentioned in the credits of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.

Two weeks before his death, Steve attended E3 2019.
