PC Gaming Show E3 2019 Highlights

Here’s what was shown during the two-hour show: new game announcements, updates, and Epic Games Store exclusives

PC Gaming Show press conference took place on June 10 as part of E3 2019. The two-hour show contained many announcements, trailers,and news about the previously released games. We will tell you about the most interesting things.

The show started with a trailer of Evil Genius 2: World Domination – the second part of the villain base simulator. The trailer was more conceptual than informative – the gameplay was not shown at all. Currently, the sequel is scheduled to be released only on Steam.

After this, viewers were able to digest a gameplay trailer of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The trailer showed traveling around the city, conversations with characters and supernatural abilities. The game is still scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2020.

Publisher Chucklefish presented a trailer of Starmancer – the user plays as AI that looks after space colonists. In the near future, the project will have a closed beta test. You can get access to it by pre-ordering the game for $35.

Chivalry 2 was announced – in the second part of the online Medieval action, you should expect battles for 64 players, a reworked combat system and the ability to ride horses. For PC, the game will stay an exclusive of Epic Games Store for one year. Versions for other platforms have not been confirmed.

Krillbite Studio showed a new trailer of the mysterious adventure game Mosaic. As per Steam, ‘’Mosaic is a dark and surrealistic narrative game about modern society, being caught in a daily grind, and trying to make sense of it all.’’ The game will be released in 2019 on PC (Steam), PS4, and Xbox One.

Vaulted Sky Games, with support from the publisher Coffee Stain, announced Midnight Ghost Hunt – a multiplayer game about the battle between ghosts and ghost hunters. The date of the release has not been announced, but you can sing up for alpha testing on the official website.

Ludomotion studio announced a big sequel for its small indie-game Unexplored – a role-playing roguelike action Unexplored 2 will be released in 2020. Despite the fact that the development of the game is sponsored by the publisher Big Sugar, the authors of the game raise funds for new features on the Fig website.

Funcom presented new (and not so new) projects: DLC Seed of Evil for Mutant Year Zero will be sold starting from July 30, while the sci-fi first-person horror Moons of Madness will be released on October 31 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One – just in time for the Halloween.

Conan Chop Chop, which was taken for an April Fool’s joke by many, turned out to be a real game. The project is a roguelike game and will be released on September 3 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Multiplayer survival game Last Oasis, which was announced back in January, got a new trailer. The game will appear in early access in Steam on September 3.

Publisher Paradox showed a new trailer of Age of Wonders: Planetfall – a space part of the famous turn-based series. The game will be released on August 6 on PC (Steam), PS4 and Xbox One.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War will be released in 2020 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The gameplay’s premiere is scheduled for June 11.

The action game with survival elements Remnant: From the Ashes from Gunfire Games got a storyline trailer and a release date – August 20. Players who have pre-ordered the game will get access to it on August 16. The project is developed for PC (Steam), PS4, and Xbox One.

Griftlands from Klei Entertainment has turned into a card RPG – the new trailer showcases the changes. In July, the game will be alpha tested on the territory of Epic Games Store. Steam indicates June 2020 as the release date.

Frontier Developments showed a new trailer of Planet Zoo, a simulator of modern zoo. The developers promise the most authentic animals in the history of the gaming industry and a gameplay demo which is scheduled to be released on June 14. The project itself will be released for PC on November 5.

Shenmue 3 got a new trailer and, more importantly for PC players, moved to Epic Games Store. It is yet unknown whether the exclusivity will be temporary or permanent.

Lavapotion studio, with the support from publisher Coffee Stain, announced Songs of Contest – a role-playing game inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic and Total War series. The game is expected to be released for PC at the end of 2020.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will receive a Versus PvP mode. Two teams of four players will engage in combat – one side plays for the heroes of the main game, while the second one plays for Skaven. You can sign up for the beta-testing of the game on the official website.

Per Aspera, a storyline-oriented strategy about the terraforming of Mars, was announced. The game will be released in 2020. At this point, only the Steam version is expected.

The full-fledged version of Dota Auto Chess, which got a debut trailer on PC Gaming Show, will be an exclusive of Epic Games Store. The project combines elements of a card game, squad management and Battle Royale.

Developers from studios Dreams Incorporated and SYCK presented Cris Tales – a game inspired by classic JRPGs which will be released in 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The free demo version should appear on Steam soon.

Valfaris, a pixel action-platformer charged with heavy metal, is scheduled to be released in 2019 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Currently, a free demo version is already available on Steam.

Tripwire Interactive studio presented a new trailer of Maneater – a game centered around a bloodthirsty shark.

The last DLC for Terraria called Journey’s End will contain more than 800 new items and changes in almost all aspects of the game. The add-on will be free for all game owners and is scheduled to be released in 2019.

Sam Barlow presented a new trailer of Telling Lies – the spiritual successor of Her Story. The release date was not shared, but the developers promised to release the game on Steam soon.

The developers of Warframe presented a new add-on, Empyrean, which will send players back into space. The release date is unknown, but the full-fledged presentation should take place on July 6 during the annual Tennolive conference.

Space adventure game Genesis Noir will be released on PC but does not have an exact release date yet.

El Hijo, a stealth game about a six-year-old boy, was announced. The game will have no weapons and is completely dedicated to stealth. The release date was not shared. El Hijo will be available on PC (Steam), PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

At the end, Larian’s founder Swen Vincke and D&D creative director Mike Mearls went on stage to talk about Baldur’s Gate 3. The game was not shown, the release date was not shown as well, but once again they promised to make everyone happy.
