Death Stranding Japanese Trailer Features Extra Scenes and Boss Battle

Japanese fans got to see a bit more than the rest of the world

Following the reveal of a new Death Stranding trailer, Kojima Productions released its extended Japanese version which is different from the worldwide one.

Namely, the video features extra gameplay footage including Sam fighting a huge monster in the forest — one of the newly revealed locations. Besides, the trailer is accompanied by another song — Japanese fans hear Apocalyptica’s ‘’Path Vol. 2’’ with Sandra Nasic’s vocal, Guano Apes’ lead singer.

Check out the trailer below:

In a nutshell, here are all the differences:

  • Another track is used: Apocalyptica — Path Vol.2 feat. Sandra Nasic.
  • Extra footage: Sam fighting a squid-looking monster at 6:05.
  • Extra cutscene: Amelie wearing a gold mask is captured by Troy Baker’s character, Higgs, at 6:17.
  • Japanese voice over (obviously).

Death Stranding is coming to PlayStation 4 on November 8, 2019.
