Weekly Cosplay Digest: May 20-26
Check out the best cosplays published over the past week: DC and Marvel lady heroes, Nier: Automata and The Witcher 3 characters
Alex Wolf and Nina Kus as Geralt and Yennefer
Although The Witcher 3 was first released more than four years ago, it’s still popular among cosplayers. Alex Wolf and Nina Kus illustrated Geralt and Yennefer’s long-awaited reunion. The Witcher fans would definitely enjoy the photo shoot with a beautiful set, a charming sorceress, and a hard-boiled witcher. Photos by Kira Mitenkova.
Oichi as Spider-Gwen
Two digests ago, we showed you Oichi’s Spider-Gwen teaser photo – now it’s time to enjoy the full photo shoot. You might know that this character is an alternate-universe version of Gwen Stacy who gets spider powers instead of dying. The photo shoot was not the easiest for Oichi – she got hurt while trying ballet shoes for the first time. Anyway, she managed to make a sweet and authentic, comics style photo shoot. DC Lady Heroes
A group of cosplayers illustrated the scene where Gotham City Sirens kidnap Batgirl. The costumes are from the comics of the ‘90s. Their looks turned out bright and at the same time canonical – the photos are like a good comics movie still shots. Batgirl – Julia Shuenkova, Catwoman – Nina Artamonova, Harley Quinn – Mary Smirnova, Poison Ivy – Letana. Photos by Yuliya Belyaeva.
Lady Melamori as 2B from Nier: Automata
You can often see 2B from Nier: Automata cosplays. Lady Melamory showed her cosplay of this attractive android. Not only Nier universe fans but everyone who loves well done cosplays will enjoy the photo shoot.
Zhenya Zhuk and Her Fem Version of Hellboy
Hellboy (2019) was a disappointment for both Ron Perlman’s Hellboy fans and the comics fans. Maybe the creators should have followed the tendencies and changed the main character’s gender? Zhenya Zhuk came up with this idea earlier than Hollywood producers and made a fem version of Hellboy that looks even more impressive than the original one. Photos by GREED.
