S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Gets Official Art, More News to Follow [Updated]
The devs update the sequel’s official website, say they have a lot of interesting content to share
Developers GSC Game World updated the official website of the long-awaited sequel adding a new background image, Steam links to previous games and social media.
A music track was also uploaded to the website. It’s dark and heavy, and something like Morse code could be heard a couple of times. Listen to it below:
In the announcement Facebook post, the developers promised to share more news and organize ‘’awesome contests’’. Although some fans were sceptical, the devs assured them the sequel is real.
Previously, the developers puzzled fans with numbers 188.8.131.52 on the official website. The answer turned out to be 35, but what it means still remains a mystery.
As of now, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has no release date or platforms announced.
The new art and audio sparked fans’ interest, and theories started to pop up. For instance, the audio track is titled ‘’014-S2.wav’’, which some believe is a ciphered message. Besides, it’s a 65,2 MB wav-file, which is suspiciously too much for a 3-minute track.
One user managed to decode Morse code and shared his finding with the community.
Fans also dug into the uploaded image, zooming it in and examining in Photoshop.
Whether fans’ theories are right, we’ll find out when the developers publish more news.
