26 Best Cosplay Sets of Winter 2019
A collection of the best cosplay works released this winter: Booetta, Miranda, Mera, Catherine, Warhammer 40K, Captain Marvel and many others
Olga Haku as Cerys an Craite from The Witcher 3
Cerys an Craite is a strong female warrior who becomes the Queen of Skellige Isles with Geralt’s help. Following the game’s plot, the Witcher helps Cerys drive Hym from jarl Udalryk. Olga Haku, together with the photographer Ksenia Rogutenok, showed another end of the story: Cerys decides to do everything by herself although she understands that such games are dangerous. If you want to know the outcome of this decision, check out the full photoset in Ksenia’s group. We will show only the most vivid images.
Maria Hanna as Miranda from Mass Effect 2
Maria Hanna has already cosplayed Miranda Lawson. However, a return to previous images is sometimes required to showcase the growth of cosplayer’s professionalism which is especially noticeable when comparing early works with fresh photos. Today, Miranda evokes nostalgic feelings for Mass Effect 2, for the times when each Bioware game was a major event. Photos by Kira Mitenkova.
Nelly Laufeyson as Catherine from the Catherine game
Catherine turned out to be one of the most unusual games of the Xbox 360/PS3 generation. Instead of a story about saving the world or a zombie apocalypse, it’s a work about young people, about the reluctance to grow and assume responsibility for one’s actions, about fears and temptations. The image of the seductive Catherine who changed Vincent’s life was created by Nelly Laufeyson.
Yulia Shuenkova as Mera
Aquaman, together with Wonder Woman, was one of the best films of the DC universe. Even before the premiere, female cosplayers turned their attention to Mera, the protagonist’s wife. There are many works on Mera, but we want to highlight Asami Gate and her photoset by Aku.
Alisa Arefyeva as Booette
You have certainly heard about the incredible popularity of Bowsette, the female version of the main Mario’s antagonist. However, human imagination is not limited to turning the enemy of the mustached plumber into a sexy girl. Fans’ efforts resulted in the creation of Booette, the fem version of the ghost Boo. Alisa Arefyeva presented the work in this image which can be called the perfect embodiment of Booette in the cosplay world. The sexuality of the heroine, the costume design and the beauty of the cosplayer are beyond praise. Mario fans and those who love the idea of turning male characters into female characters will be absolutely delighted. Photos by 412 Art.
Lada Lyumos as Triss from The Witcher
In the cosplay world, Triss from the first Witcher is a great rarity; one can remember the work of Maria Hanna who crafted the costume for this image. In the new photoset by Kira Mitenkova, Lada Lyumos also presented the red-haired sorceress from Geralt’s first interactive adventure. The resulting image is sensual and sexual, as other Lada’s works.
Anastasia Vvedenskaya, Asami Gate and Lada Lyumos as sorceresses from the Witcher universe
Lada did not limit herself to Triss’ image and appeared as Keira Metz in the next photoset by Kira Mitenkova. Together with Anastasia Vvedenskaya who performed as Yennefer and Yulia Shuenkova as Triss, they have played the sorceresses’ meeting in Toussaint. Conversations were accompanied by heavy drinking after which the beauties wanted to undress and talk heart to heart.
Ksenia Shelkovskaya as Johanna from Diablo III
If you are following cosplay, you are surely familiar with works of Mellu. Her images of the passionate Triss Merigold and the canonical Margaery Tyrell from Game of Thrones have pleased the fans of the respective universes. Mellu does not limit herself to cute heroines and sometimes creates images of strong warriors like Johanna from Diablo series. Photos by Aku.
Sasha Son as Elizabeth from Bioshock: Infinite – Burial at Sea
Noir-style Elizabeth from Bioshock: Infinite DLC Burial at Sea is more popular in the cosplay world than Booker’s daughter from the main game. Meanwhile, some works are so good that we simply cannot pass by. So, Sasha Son together with Alexander Alexandrov showed Atlas’ Trap into which Elizabeth got herself in the second episode. The photoset develops into a complete story which is even brighter and more atmospheric than in the game. Photos by Tamara Lekher.
Mary Shvetsova as Fury from Darksiders III
The third iteration of Darksiders turned out to be controversial. Instead of another imitation of the God of War, we got a game that looked more like Dark Souls. However, even those who did not like Darksiders III recognized that Fury was a charismatic and memorable heroine. Mary Shvetsova created her image in these photos by Dzeta.
Overwatch heroines in classic Bondiana entourage
Sometimes, cosplayers go for bold experiments. The girls from Novosibirsk (Dead City in Metro Exodus), together with the photographer Ksenia Rogutenok, decided to combine the Overwatch series with the classic Bondiana of the 60s. The resulting performance is simply outstanding. Mercy – Anna Gilts, Widowmaker – Diana Landarina, Ashe – Olga Haku, Brigitte – Darya Ponomareva, D.Va – Anastasia Phoenix.
Angelina Kostritskaya as Yennefer
While The Witcher 3 will soon celebrate the fourth birthday, Yennefer continues to be popular among cosplayers. Angelina Kostritskaya presented a few unique photosets in this image. One shows Yenn teaching Ciri while the other portrays the captivity and torture of the black-haired sorceress. Photos by Alexandra Kaminskaya.
April Fool as Sister Friede from Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel
The first Dark Souls III DLC called Ashes of Ariandel was too short and monotonous. The action was limited to one location, but lorewise the Painted World of Ariandel did not provide new information. Meanwhile, the last boss of the DLC was remembered by everyone – female cosplayer known as April Fool created the image of Sister Friede. Photos by Pugoffka.
Alina Ogoltsova as Fire Keeper
The Dark Souls theme is continued by Alina Ogoltsova who presented her cosplay of Fire Keeper. The work is based on arts drawn by the cosplayer herself and shows the most difficult ending of Dark Souls III called Usurpation of Fire. The fire was taken not by the Chosen Undead but by the Keeper herself who became a kind of deity in the coming Age of Dark. This cosplay is an interesting creative development of the Dark Souls universe. Photos by Eva Davydova.
Anastasia MiraMarta as Maria from Bloodborne: Old Hunters
You can sometimes find full-fledged works based on Bloodborne. For example, Anastasia MiraMarta presented her version of Lady Maria from the Old Hunters DLC. She was the best student of Gehrman and became the prototype for his man-made Doll after death. The battle against Maria which took place in Hunter’s Nightmare was the most beautiful and at the same time sad battle of the whole game. This event was depicted by photographer Kira Mitenkova. First photo by Annet Voronnaya.
Anna Moleva as Sylvanas Windrunner from World of Warcraft
For many people who are interested in the gaming industry, Anna Moleva is Elizabeth from Bioshock: Infinite. Today, the girl continues cosplaying although she rarely appears at Russian festivals and her new works are released once every few months. At the same time, their quality remains unattainable for most cosplayers. With Sylvanas Windrunner, Anna reached new highs – few cosplayers in the world pay such attention to details.
Kerri Nova as Alexstrasza from World of Warcraft
Alexstrasza is the queen of all Dragons and the guardian of all life in Azeroth. She helped create World Tree Nordrassil and called on her brethren to stop fighting against other races but teach them to tell good from evil. Karina Shilova, who is better known as Kerri Nova, created the image of Alexstrasza or, more precisely, her human form. Photos by Nikolay Zharov.
Helena Winnowill as Harley Quinn
In 2016, festivals and thematic publics were overwhelmed by cosplay on Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad. This is not surprising as the movie with Margot Robbie was one of the most awaited films of the year. However, more than two years have passed since then, and we have missed such Harley. With this work, Helena Winnowill reminds us why we like that image and prepares us to the new wave of Miss Quinn’s popularity due to the imminent release of Birds of Prey. Photos by Andrey Kudryavtsev.
Helena Winnowill in photoset based on Warhammer 40,000
Helena’s portfolio is not limited to sexual works. Perhaps, you have already seen her fem version of Spartacus with complex armor. This time, the girl presented the warrior’s image from Warhammer 40,000 universe, an Imperial Guard Cadian Shock Trooper. You have seen these units in many parts of the Dawn of War series.
Freya Veles and Anton Kartashov in photoset based on The Witcher 3
Filippa has many times appeared in the world of cosplay. Sometimes, cosplayers even showed what’s hiding under her bandage. Freya Veles and Anton Kartashov went further and showed the story of Filippa’s revenge on King Radovid from The Witcher 3. As a reminder, he blinded the sorceress for her participation in political games. Photos by Milligan.
Octokuro in work based on Cyberpunk 2077
The girl known under the pseudonym Octokuro is most famous for her beautiful erotic works. However, her cosplay which does not belong to the 18+ category is also authentic. In this new photoset by Aku, the girl created an image of Cyberpunk 2077 protagonist named V.
Elena Samko as Meiko Shiraki from Prison School anime
Prison School is an erotic manga which paved a way to an anime series in which a group of young men is put in a school prison where they face most sophisticated persecution from female wardens. In the world of cosplay, this fandom is popular both in the West and in Russia. One of the best works based on Prison School belongs to Elena Samko who portrayed Meiko Shiraki. Why Elena? Just look at the photos. Two of them are published for the first time on our site. Photos by Ksenia Rogutenok.
Anya iChios as Black Cat
Black Cat from Marvel universe is often confused with Catwoman from DC Comics world. Their characters are indeed similar – thieves who know how to be friends with superheroes and sometimes use them to achieve their own goals. However, Black Cat did not appear in full movies and was present only in comics and cartoons. You could have seen her in Marvel's Spider-Man DLC in 2018. This image was brought to life by Anya iChios. Her costume is an exact latex replica of the outfit from the 1994 animated series. The first two photos are exclusive for our site.
Cosband Nu Vi Ponyali in photoset based on Dead or Alive series
Dead or Alive has always had a special place in the world of fighting games fans. It does not have complex combos, blood or violence. The main feature of the series are beautiful girls, and everything related to them. Realistic behavior of individual parts of the female body, sweet sighs during missed blows and, of course, outfits that favorably emphasize the delicious figures of the beauties. In the sixth part of the series, developers made the heroines’ looks more modest, which caused discontent among loyal fans. The girls from Nu Vi Ponyali as female fighters from Dead or Alive remind us why we love this series. Photos by Olga Tataurova.
Oichi as Korra from The Legend of Korra
